Cannon and the sling shot

We have friends named David and Tegan Corrie. Their oldest son was Porter's first good friend. Last Spring, Cannon had been frequently asking me to see David's sling shot. I kept saying, "Ask him honey. I'm sure he would love to show you."

 David is a Southern boy, so it wasn’t a far leap to assume David had a sling shot. I guess I just thought Cannon had heard about it or something. 

One day Cannon said "Mom, I really want David to show me his sling shot!"

 I responded, "Cannon, how do you know he has one?”

Cannon replied, "Mooommm, it's the one he killed the giant with!" (Like duh mom...don't you know!!)

Sweet Cannon thought our good friend was David from the bible. I hated to break the news that "our David” had NOT slayed the giant!
